There’s a reason why the Base Torres Hike is on every trekker’s bucket list.
It’s not just about the granite towers, the emerald lagoon, or the wide-open landscapes — it’s the way this place makes you feel small and alive all at once.
Our full-day Base Torres Hike is perfect for those who want to experience Torres del Paine’s most iconic viewpoint in one unforgettable day. From the moment the trail begins, you’re surrounded by mountain air, lenga forests, and ever-changing light. It’s a journey that builds with every step.
You’ll pass rivers, cross wooden bridges, and climb through rocky moraines. As you gain altitude, the wind picks up, and so does your anticipation. And then, suddenly — there they are. The Towers. Three massive spires rising out of the earth, reflecting in a glacial lake that feels like the edge of the world.
This is not an easy stroll — it’s a true mountain trek. But with each steep section, you’ll earn something rare: the joy of getting there under your own power. The silence at the top. The views. The moment. It’s all yours.
Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or someone chasing a once-in-a-lifetime experience, this hike delivers. And don’t worry — we’ll be there to guide, support, and celebrate with you every step of the way.
The Base Torres Hike is more than a physical challenge — it’s a way to connect with the soul of Patagonia. Whether it’s the wind on your face or the stillness at the top, this experience stays with you long after you return.

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your accommodation between 6:30 and 7:00 AM, depending on your location. Once everyone is gathered, we'll embark on our journey to Torres del Paine National Park. During the ride, your guide will provide insights about the stunning landscapes and the route to the Base Torres Viewpoint. After a scenic two-hour bus ride from Puerto Natales, we'll enter the national park via the Portería Amarga entrance. Here, we'll register before taking in breathtaking views of the park. The trekking begins! This tour follows a circuit, using the same trail for both the outbound and return journey, totaling 6.8 miles (11 km) to the halfway point. Expect a challenging ascent with a significant elevation gain of 3,517 feet (1,072 meters). One of our stops will be at the renowned Windy Pass (Paso de los Vientos), offering stunning views of the Ascensio Valley. As we continue along the trail, we'll reach the Chileno sector, where a campsite on the W Trek circuit is located. This campsite features a bar service, making it a popular rest stop for trekkers. As we hike beneath the canopy of a Lenga Forest, the final quarter mile becomes more challenging due to the moraine glacier. However, overcoming this section leads us to our goal—the Base Torres Viewpoint. Upon arrival, we'll take time to relax and capture stunning photos by the lake's edge. Feel free to enjoy your lunch against the backdrop of breathtaking landscapes—there’s nothing better than snacking with such views. After a refreshing break, we'll regroup and begin our descent on the same trail. We’ll finish the day returning you to Puerto Natales, after an incredible day of hiking.
