Itinerary
The Tatra 8x8 trucks are robust and versatile vehicles that easily navigate tough terrains, making them perfect for exploring the rugged landscape of the Patagonian region. They provide an exciting and safe ride as they take visitors along winding and steep roads to reach the summit of Cerro Dorotea. The tour begins in the lively Plaza de Armas in Puerto Natales, where you will be greeted by our bilingual Spanish/English guide. As we leave the city, your guide will share interesting stories about the city’s rich history and fascinating facts about the stunning surroundings as we ascend to Cerro Dorotea. After about an hour’s drive in the truck, there will be a short 5-minute walk through a lenga forest, where you will be welcomed with incredible views of the city and the surrounding mountains towering over the fjord. You will have 20 minutes of free time to enjoy the view, explore the wind-swept forest, and capture perfect moments at Cerro Dorotea Lookout. Finally, we'll return to the truck for an exciting descent back to the starting point in Puerto Natales.
